Following an impressive second half of the 2009 season, Red Bull entered 2010 as genuine title contenders. Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber would face fierce competition from McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and reigning World Champion Jenson Button, while Fernando Alonso began his first season with Ferrari determined to return the Scuderia to the top.

Victories were shared between all five drivers, while the championship lead changed hands repeatedly throughout the season, ensuring no single driver established a decisive advantage. As the year progressed, however, Button gradually fell out of contention, leaving Vettel, Webber, Hamilton and Alonso locked in one of the closest title fights Formula One had ever seen.

The battle culminated in a historic Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where four drivers arrived with a realistic chance of becoming World Champion. Every strategic decision, every overtake and every point carried enormous significance as the title remained impossible to predict.

Vettel ultimately emerged victorious, becoming Formula One's youngest World Champion at the time and beginning Red Bull's first championship-winning era. More than a decade later, 2010 remains the only season in Formula One history in which four drivers entered the final race with the possibility of leaving as World Champion.
