Overview
F1 Archive is an independently maintained informational website. It does not require user accounts. The site uses Google Analytics, with visitor consent, to understand how people use the archive and to help improve its content, design and functionality. Analytics information is not used by F1 Archive for advertising or personalised marketing.
Information collected automatically
Like most hosted websites, the hosting provider may create technical server logs when pages are requested. These can include an IP address, browser or device information, the requested page, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. These records are used for security, reliability and fault diagnosis.
Google Analytics
With your consent, F1 Archive uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website. This may include information such as the pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, referring source, and interactions with the site. This information is used to measure traffic, identify usability issues and improve the archive.
Google Analytics is provided by Google, which processes analytics information under its own terms and privacy practices. F1 Archive does not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors and does not use the information for personalised advertising.
Messages sent by email
When you email a support or contact address, the information you choose to provide—including your email address and the contents of your message—is used to respond, investigate reports and improve the project. Messages may be retained where reasonably necessary to preserve context, track a correction or deal with misuse.
Cookies and local storage
F1 Archive asks for consent before loading Google Analytics and allowing analytics cookies or similar technologies to be used. You can accept or reject analytics through the cookie banner. A strictly necessary preference record may be stored so that the site remembers your choice. Ordinary browser features or the hosting platform may also use strictly necessary technical storage for security and reliable operation.
Third-party services and links
The site is hosted by Render, uses historical motorsport data sourced through Jolpica-F1, and uses Google Analytics for consent-based website usage statistics. External links, Google, hosting providers and email services have their own privacy practices, which are outside the control of F1 Archive.
